Location: London - Hybrid with Work From Home

Daily Rate: From £500 to £700 per day (Outside IR35 Contract).

Start date: ASAP

6-month contract, extension possibility - Software Engineer with experience working in a python environment. Required for the design and development of software to control a blood handling platform on behalf of a private hospital.

JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Gathering software requirements from internal and external stakeholders

  • Defining the scope of the software product

  • Breaking the product down into discrete modules or work packages to be developed by software engineers (e.g. python workflows, equipment drivers, UIs)

  • Producing detailed software specifications and other supporting documentation

  • Working closely with the project manager to plan out the work (scheduling time and resources)

  • Working closely with other engineering disciplines to avoid conflict between hardware and software

  • Working closely with technical writers to produce detailed user manuals

REQUIREMENTS

  • Software engineering or computer science background

  • Highly organised

  • Experience managing a team of engineers
